POWDER PARADISE: SKIING THE WASATCH RANGE is one of six pieces I wrote for the National Geographic Guide to Weekend Getaways, Ó 2002 the National Geographic Society.
A MIRACLE OF MOUNTAIN WATER appears in the anthology Ahead of Their Time: Wyoming Voices for the Wilderness, Ó 2004 the Wyoming Wilderness Association.
MOUNTAIN TOWNS appeared in a special section of the September 1998 Men’s Journal magazine, entitled “You’re Moving Where? Small Towns, Hideouts, Secret Spots--and How to Actually Live in Them.”
FAT TIRES IN A SUNBURNT COUNTRY appeared as a two-part story in the May 2003 and June 2003 issues of Adventure Cyclist magazine, and also in the summer 2004 Teton Valley magazine. The Adventure Cyclist version was an award winner in the 2004 Outdoor Writers of America writing competition.
Variations of ALONE ON THE GREAT DIVIDE have appeared in a number of publications. The original appeared in the spring/summer 1998 Snow Country magazine.
